PART 7 -- UMBRELLAS

On a rain day, Harry and his friends can be by your side. Totes Isotoner Co., of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, claims it is the world's largest manufacturer of rain gear. It marketed a few HP umbrellas in 2001. They have the distinctive Totes style -- when they fold up, they shrink down to a tiny, portable size.

The Quidditch umbrella features the Golden Snitch and the HP lightning bolt logo. About $12.

The Journey to Hogwarts umbrella has the movie artwork by Warner Bros. artist Fred Bode. Think wet: Hogwarts Lake and rain. This umbrella comes in adult and youth sizes. About $10-$12.

The "ultra-tiny" backpack umbrella shown at right came with carrying cases of different styles. You could choose from Norbert the dragon, Hogwarts crest or a golden lightning bolt. It was promoted as so compact that it could be attached to a backpack or zipper, just like the clip-on toys popular with kids. About $14.

SECOND UMBRELLA SERIES

Totes brought out more Harry Potter umbrellas in anticipation of spring 2002. The three umbrellas below have more of the graphics from Warner Bros. artist Fred Bode and a plastic likeness of a character for the handle. About $10 each.

This Harry Potter rain poncho comes in black, with "HP" Snitch logo, or in platinum (silver-gray) with Hogwarts crest on the front. A large lightning bolt is on the back (as shown in the small image by the child model). One size fits all, for boys or girls. About $13.
