Alan Rickman returns as Severus Snape, sinister head of Slytherin House and instructor in Potions.

Dobby, the Malfoy family house elf, tries everything he can to keep Harry from going to Hogwarts, including a magic spell in the Dursley house that nearly gets Harry expelled. Dobby is totally computer generated and voiced by Toby Jones.

Gilderoy Lockhart (Kenneth Branagh) is supposed to be an expert in fighting the Dark Arts. Harry and Ron are aware that he's mostly a fraud, but they still force him -- at "wandpoint" -- to help them enter the Chamber of Secrets.

Hermione (Emma Watson) has always been an excellent student at potion making, and her skills especially are tested when she begins to prepare the complicated Polyjuice Potion that will allow Ron and Harry to question Draco and see what he knows about the Heir of Slytherin.

Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) joins the Slytherin House Quidditch team as Seeker, again pitting him against Gryffindor star Harry Potter. He is with Scott Fearn as team captain Marcus Flint, and actor Jamie Yeates as another team member.
