P.H.Cheetahs:

Oxford 2003

Every year the Cheetahs travel to Oxford,Michigan to participate in their Oxford Youth Track and Field Meet put on by their Recreation Department. This year was no different. As usual when we travel to Oxford we have to be at our best because of the high level of competition that Oxford gives us.From the littlest to the biggest it is always a challenge when we meet up in Oxford.Under the direction of Jenny Lewis Oxford has built a strong track & field program in the area.

As with any endeavor that the youth take part in a key ingredient to their success is the parental support behind the child and Oxford seems to be in plenty of that. Some of the children are barely out of diapers and you see the parents out there routing them on,steering them down the straight track, reassuring them them that they will be right there with them the whole way to make sure that they reach their goal and reassuring to their child the fact that whatever the outcome may be they will be right there at the finish line waiting for them with open arms and with the support that they have always had. After all, isn't this what atheletics teaches us? We here at the Port Huron Cheetahs are proud to be part of the Oxford family and are proud to have Oxford as a member of the Port Huron Cheetah family.
