It's been awhile without Calvin and Hobbes. We have seen two new books, There's Treasure Everywhere and It's A Magical World. These books kept us going; we were still getting new material, maybe Bill Watterson hadn't retired. But unfortunately, they were collections of strips from 1995, the last strip wrapping up It's A Magical World, which appeared in newspapers around the world, Sunday, December 31st. Unfortunately, we have to accept the unbearable fact that Bill Watterson has retired, and Calvin and Hobbes can only live on in our collections, treasuries, and our hearts.
