As i sit here thinking about my past
I recall all the things
The things that didn't last,

I think about all the times we shared
Holding you close
When ever you were scared,

Holding you tight
Through out the night
And as you lay in my arms
You knew you were all right,

You always knew
No matter what happened
No harm would come to you

But as the time slipped away
You went with it
You couldn't stay

So you spread your wings
And you took flight
Flying high amongst the clouds
You had your dreams in sight

As i dropped my arms that once held you
This much is what I knew
as i stood there with out you
my heart begane to rip in two

As you was leaving
this note you gave to me

IF YOU LOVE SOME ONE,
SET THEM FREE
IF THEY COME BACK
THEN IT WAS MENT TO BE
IF THEY DONT
THEN IT NEVER WAS

As the tears ran down from my face
I know I'll see you again
