I'm sorry, Wormhole has disbanded.
After a unilateral agreement, The Wormhole Project has been disbanded. The information has been taken down, the source code put away.
Let this be a lesson to all Open Source start-ups: a project is HARD WORK! Don't start unless you are fully prepared to do what it takes.
What's Wormhole?
Wormhole was supposed to be a science fiction strategy game similar to Masters of Orion or Acendancy.
Like these games Wormhole plays in the far future, where several interstellar empires compete for the control of the whole galaxy.
The task you have to perform is to build new colonies, research advanced technologies, fight against the other empires and - of course - to win!!!
But that's not all.
We'll take a very generic approach in the game design, so in the future Wormhole can serve as a base for virtually any strategy game we want to play!
