IntroAnd now a brief history of the site: Wierdcrap started out some time ago (roughly two years) as an experiment in web development. The curiousity of its founder drove him to register some free webspace. Simply thinking that a quick analysis would only require a temporary account, he immediately chose the first frivolous word that came to mind. But ironically, that word dictated the future content, and was fortunately quite appropriate. He was soon thereafter intrigued by the concept of basic webpage designing. After coding countless pages of conveyance of simple html understanding, advanced tabling, and other insignificant attempts, he decided to move on to more challenging tasks. Of them was learning a scripting language commonly used in more modern and user-interactive pages, JavaScript; and what is currently the basis of the site wierdcrap. What was at first a mere interest became an obsession. The goal is mastery.
Updates
01.30.04 - Holy Crap!! It's been two years! I have not forgot this website.. I will never! There just hasn't been any crap worthy enough to add. But that's why I am updating right now. Firstly, some of my recent projects shouldn't go without mention on the legendary 'wierdcrap'. These include the GRAWINGS, a gallery of mspaint masterpieces (unanimated), and the overly serious Calendar, which contains the reason why I am very busy these days. Coming soon (but i'm not sure HOW soon) is a NEW GIF!! Yep, that's right... NEW GIF. Similar to the last one, this gif was started months ago and it's seldomly worked on. Also something I want to mention, angelfire SUCKS. What's with all these popups?!? This site is too awesome and classic to be disgraced by those annoying whores.. Well, til next time.. SEE YA *WAY* LATER!! (new gif!)
8.23.02 - New GIF. This one took forever to make. Not only because it had tons of fancy background colors and lots of movement, but also because I never worked on it much. I started it at the beginning of school last year, and I finished it now, almost the beginning of school this year. So that's about a year. Here's the specs of this monster gif: 166 frames, 41.4 seconds long, 98kb. GIFing just ain't what it used to be.
7.3.02 - I made some neat new changes the the GIF Animation page. First of all I made it so all the GIFs preload, because I know that on slower connections they are slowed down and choppy when when first displayed because it's still downloading. Another feature is the sortable links. You can sort my gifs by ascending order or by descending. Difference? Well ascending means that my newest gif will be the top-most link, in case you're too lazy to scroll down. The scroll box is another new addition, because the list keeps getting longer so it's taking up quite a bit of page space. More less scrolling for you lazy fat kids. I also changed the colors of the links. I put random RBG values in and the result wasn't disgustingly ugly, so I stuck with 'em. I forgot to mention the newest gif has been up for a few days. I made this at CJ's house and most of it is his ideas, such as the turtle, and wolverine. He drew the dumb-lookin' guy too. He needs credit for that. My next newest gif is just about completed. I started it way back during school, probably in February or March, don't know specifically. But it's taken a long time because it is so tedius to draw the things nowadays, with their advanced graphics and complex paint brush techniques. I take many breaks in between drawing sessions, to do other things, like rest, script, and go back to the 80's for a while. Well, until next time, I'm outta here.
6.15.02 - Buncha new gifs for ya. None of 'em by me. I will have some new ones done soon hopefully. If not, then I won't. Peace dawg. GIFs rule.
02.11.02 - Thinking about how long it's been since anything cool has happened to this site. I don't know what else to do. It used to be just the scripts and the gifs keeping this place alive, regardless of whether people visited, but now I haven't done those in a long time so it's all boring and stuff. I guess I just need some more weird crap.
9.24.01 - Finally I "finished" the gif, Zombie Fight. It was going to be longer with more action, but I just wanted the thing finished. Maybe there will be a part 2. If you really want there to be a sequel, or whatever you want to call it, then you will tell me. Because without the demand, there is no gif.
8.07.01 - New animation. Enjoy.
7.09.01 - Have I got an update for you. I said that I was gonna finish a couple gifs, so I did. The one at the top of this page is one of them. I made that yesterday. Hey, stop laughing. How would you like it if some ninja started harrassing you? Another gif I finished is Pyroman. The idea came up for that during school one day, me and my friend were joking around as usual, and then I thought that it would be a great gif. So I started drawing it asap. Then I just forgot about it despite being asked about it a few times. Then there's the mugging. Well.. don't really have much to say about that one. It's kinda stupid. Also notice the walk around page. I'm working on a script where a few guys just follow your mouse, but I can't seem to do it right. So I just put that up because it works sorta.
7.07.01 - Finally another contributer to the GIF Animations section. My dear old friend 'Jack' has had his gif in the works for some time, and then he acually finished it and surprized me with it. If he didn't HAVE A JOB already, then he could be the next stickdeath, if he wanted to. It's really good. Nice and fluid. Jack is quite the artist. Now I think that because of his generousity, I will continue to work on my other gifs that I had half way done. Thanks for the inspiration, "Jack."
7.05.01 - Well I was playin around with the flyin magus script as usual, and I was doing some pretty crazy stuff with it. I printed it out a while ago so I could sit down with some peace and quiet and concentrate while trying to understand all the math and everything behind it. It's truly amazing how many things you can do to it, and have it still function okay. I'm tellin ya, the guy's a genious. So after screwin with it enough, I came up with the new flying dots page. You can change the value of the properties and you should notice the result. Be careful though, any really crazy values can screw it up. No matter how much time you spend playing with that, I guarantee that I have wasted more. There are countless other things I've transformed it into, but this one is about the only one I could post. It being interactive and all. You may also notice the introduction is finally up, in case you have been eagerly anticipating it. Kinda lenghty, but it could have been longer. Remember that you can always make it invisible with a single mouse click. Any other new stuff you see was all old and stupid things lying around that I just posted for the heck of it.
6.16.01 - My latest update is this entirely new layout. While not being super unrecognizabally new, it has some new features and some other stuff was taken out. I was getting tired of the old style. Afterall, the sliding menu was pretty pointless, not to mention useless. Also new is the binary converter/translator. I was struck with a sudden idea a few days ago, that it would be cool to make a script that changed binary code into English based on the American Standard Code for Information Interchange. It was a good experience that renewed my binary conversion knowledge as well as enhanced my scripting ability by understanding how it works. Although it may seem completely stupid, there is one possible use of it: why not code your secret conversations in binary? No one would understand it unless, well, they knew binary. But oh well, have fun.
5.29.01 - Metal Gear Maps are finished. Those sure were a pain in the arse, even though I got to play a fun game while making them. Each screenshot was taken in a pcx format (whatever that means), and then had to be converted into a temporary bitmap file, stored in my custom "temoraray bitmaps" directory. If only that WANG Imaging program could have just saved them as GIFs... but from there I had to open them with my gif making program and then convert every single friggin bitmap into a gif, just so they would show up on the browser. Well, I also did it because they're super size reducing. That whole process took hours, and it was annoying to repeat a process of saving and opening and saving again - like a computer. But I think they were well worth it. My Metal Gear maps are exclusive.
