As you are walking down a dusty path, longing for something to drink, your eyes spot a welcome sight: a tavern. You hurry towards it, opening the door and shutting it quickly behind you. Heads turn towards you. You feel a little embarassed. Suddenly, a female wildcat comes towards you. She wears a somewhat-worn green velvet tunic, with a pair of black silk pants on her legs. Her green eyes glint with ambition as she moves in closer.
"You're a stranger here, aren't you?" she asks, the faintest hint of a snarl in her throat.
"Well, yes..." you say, unsure of what the proper response is. The wildcat laughs.
"Welcome. I am Ember, the Queen of Thieves. You're welcome to join us." You are about to ask a question, but she silences you with a wave of a paw and continues. "This is the Thieves' Guild, a place for thieves, assassins, mercenaries, the whole lot! Will you join us?" Her eyes glimmer faintly, then the whole tavern is silent, waiting for your decision....
