Pop Culture guru Mike Marino looks at the '60s and beyond through his own kaleidoscope, where rock met revolution. Spewing quips like a psychedelic lawn mower run amok, he drags us, more than likely kicking and screaming, through a past few of us knew and even fewer would admit. This is Truth barred from the history books--- or as Marino would put it, the Red, White and Screwed. Could cause nausea, night sweats and loss of appetite. Void where prohibited
Bum Wines is the first chapter of Mikes new book of the same name.
Allen Cohen, founder of the legendary counter-culture newspapaer in Haight Ashbury ... in his own words talks about the Hipsters of the Haight and the Human Be-In

T.J Byrne - Artist - Ireland
I come from Ireland. Born and raised in Dublin. I studied in college and was unimpressed ( a lot) by what was taught. Didn't fancy starving so I worked as an illustrator for a lot of years and liked it but couldn't relate to the non creative people I had to deal with, nor how they used my work. They more I learned the less I liked that scene. Then I started arts organisations. Places for artists to come and meet. Organisations for them to publish their work. Exhibitions and social groups where people could speak freely over a pint or a cup of tea. That worked very well and that's how I realised I had to leave. That there was a reason others had, had the need to leave. To learn in other countries and perhaps come back.
EVA PASCO'S WILD MUSHROOMS, Vol. 1
Sixties food for your head, based on random nostalgic moments and memories of the author.
The Sixties were a time of 'chasing rabbits' in the noble pursuit of human rights, regaling against suit-and-tied corporate greed, shunning hypocrisy, living off the earth, embracing peace, espousing free love, and trippin' on psychedelics.
A compilation of 24 articles comprises and completes the first edition.
