Red Shirt Brigade, from Detroit,
MI, formed in November of 1998, at Central Michigan University.
At that time, the lineup
was Ryan Allen (drums/vocals), Paul Bissa (bass), and Trevor Naud (guitar/vocals).
The following summer, Scott
Allen was added to the lineup on keyboards and vocal duties.
Red Shirt Brigade continued
to perform in various venues in Michigan during the summer and following
school year.
In the summer of 2000, the
band released their debut CDEP, "Mock Election and the Post Selection"
on SuburbanSprawlMusic.
That summer the group also
embarked on their first tour alongside Lansing's This is Adelaide.
In October of 2000, Dan
Clark joined the band on bass and vocals.
