My Origami Workshop
Fourth Grade Students at the Annual Arts Day at Hotchkiss School,
Salisbury, Connecticut.
Arts Day 1999

Every year Hotchkiss School hosts Art Day. All the fourth graders
of Region 1 schools in Northwest Connecticut participate in workshops and
performances run by local artists. My Origami workshops are fun
for both me and the students who participate.
I taught some easy
folds like a water cup and a newspaper Samuri hat, then the Sonobe
units that are assembled into a cube that each could take home.
By the time each student folds six of the units they can remember quite
well the sequence of folds and take home some of the joy of Origami.
Summer Enrichment
This is one of my classes from the July 2000 Summer Enrichment Program in Region 1 Schools.
Please contact me if you are interested in workshops at your
school or organization. Anyone of any age will enjoy origami. I have conducted many
Origami workshops for children in area schools and for adults at Elder Hostels at the
Institute of World Affairs in Taconic, Connecticut.
