Hi, my name is Pieter and one of my favourite hobbys is riding my bike (a blue ZX9R, 99-model).  Because i'm also interested in computers i made this site so that everyone can get to know motorbikes a little better.  Below you find a table with the different sections of my site.  When you point the hand on the camera-icon, you will see what pictures and information you can find on that specific part of my page, just click to see them!  Hope you enjoy the ride ....  Ride fast, live long!

If you want your name to be mentioned, send me an e-mail (dragoburger@hotmail.com) with your bikepic(s) and i'll gladly add your pictures and information to the site.

Want to see the real thing??!!

This picture was taken on the driveway of my girlfriend's house.  From left to right my 93 Fireblade, my girlfriend's Bandit 600 and her fathers Classic 800, sparkling as always.  The Classic has done about 20 000 km in the last 2 years and has almost never driven during rain showers!  The Bandit has done some 7 000 km during the time Vi drove it.  The newest pride in our garage: my girlfriend decided to switch from the 98 Bandit 600 to the NEW ZX6R by Kawasaki, Vi bought the silver-black one.  We got the premiere of testing the ZX6R and i must say that i was impressed by its power, smooth turning and beautiful design!  Since the first week of March the silver arrived so the riding has started.  Until now, that is the end of May, she has already done 3 500 km with it. The third picture shows me getting ready for the ride back from Croix to Bruges (150 km) after a day on the track.  Since only two bikes fit on the car one of us had to ride the whole way so in total i rode almost 500 km that day, luckily the weather was great!   The last picture shows the 2000 model of the Honda CBR600F which my dad bought.  As it is brandnew, it only has some 200 km on it but that will change when the weather starts getting better over here!

The following pictures were taken on the Kawa Days on the circuit of Zolder on the 26 of April 2000.  There were about 170 riders present that day.  We were divided into three groups: beginners, average and advanced riders.  I (number 32) rode in the beginners group off course but i was still one of the slowest riders on the track.  My dealer Nico, his mecanic Koen and also Rudi, Koen, Mario rode with the advanced group while Cindy, Nico's wife rode with the beginners.  All of the above appear in the following series of pictures taken that sunny day in April.  The weather was incredibly favourable: not a cloud in the sky all day long, the day before and the day after it didn't stop raining.  Talk about 'beginners luck'!

Me on the straight end of the track!    Cindy and me waiting to go on the track!    Full concentration before the afternoon session of free riding!    3 small riders in a long curve!    Koen and Nico taking one of the harder curves on the track!    Our camp for the day, all the kermies in a row!    One of the instructors showing how to take a good curve!    Rudi's bike next to Koen's (who took his monobike apart after it broke down on him, good thing he brought a spare bike!)    The advanced riders chatting before a session of pure adrenaline    Cindy and me preparing mentally ....    Still waiting to hit the track    Nothing like a good breakfast to start the day ...    Cindy on the straight end of the track with her ZX400R    The closed park where you have to wait before going on the track    Waiting our turn in the closed park
The track of Zolder is at 170 km of my hometown, so I had to get up at 5.30 in the morning, get on my bike and drive there.  We had to be there by eight o'clock for a technical inspection of the bike.  We also had a transponder taped to the bike, this way the track owners could track people producing more than 95 decibels with their bikes.  If they caught you, you could pack your stuff and go home ...  In the morning we had some experienced race drivers showing us the ideal line for the curves, in the afternoon it was every (wo)man for him/herself!

This is a picture of the GSXF 600 (96 model) normally driven by my friend Bruno who uses it to go to work every day.  The driver on this picture is believed to be related to Pluto but these rumours haven't been confirmed by a legal source.

The following pictures show the Pan European and the Funduro of Mark and Rika who i met through my friend Kristof.  The first two pictures are taken in their garage where the bikes are kept away from the horrible weather conditions we have here in Belgium.  The third picture shows Mark and his son Bart, ready to go for a ride!

This picture was taken in August this year on the closed circuit of Croix-en-Ternois.  The three bikes are my ZX9R 99, the ZX9R of Danny and the 750 SRAD of my friend Kristof.  Danny uses his bike to go to work every day (that is about 120 km a day) so he has put on 17 000 km in one year.  Kristof went on a holiday to Scotland this year where he put 1 800 km on his bike in one week.  Both Danny and Kristof rode in the advanced riders category that sunny day in Croix!  The second picture shows the riders of the beginners group getting ready to go on the track.  It's a pity that you can't see the heartbeats of all the riders on this picture!  The third picture shows the Bandit 600 of my girlfriend Vi and the SRAD 750 of my friend Kristof who are getting transported home after a hard days work on the track, the fourth picture shows me getting ready to ride home (150 km) after the day on the track.  The fifth picture shows Kristof on his SRAD in action on the track that day, it was pretty hard getting a close shot of him passing by at that speed.

These pictures were taken in May 1998 when my father and my neighbour Gino went to ride on the circuit of Croix-en-Ternois in France.  I couldn't go because my exams were coming up, but i got a little taste of the adventure thanks to cell phones, i called three times that day just to hear the sound of the bikes roaring in the air!

The following pictures are from Bjorn, a friend of mine who used to be in my class and who has always been a bikefreak as well.  In the pictures we can see him on his RF600 and his new Tigerblade.  The RF had steel brake wiring, dynojet, carbon exhaust, ... . The Blade was baught for wheelie-pulling and other crazy performances in the Belgian country! The action picture was taken by his girlfriend Sofie who risked her life to get it ...

These pictures were sent to me by Jan who also lives in Bruges.  The first picture shows him on his FZR 600R 94 model on the circuit of Croix.  Second picture shows his bike, a GSXR 750, and a friends.  For the last pics i'll let him say it in his own words:"This crazy action was taken at a clover leaf, i know it's dangerous driving a clover leaf but i sometimes can't help it.  The sound of knee sliders touching the ground is real wicked."
The clover leaf is the crossing of the A17 and the E40 in Bruges which i also sometimes use as a playground.  The last picture shows the bike as it is now: Jan is having it repainted in the Corona colours.

Here is a picture including the three different colours of the GSX1300R Hayabussa, 99-model.

Wait and see the bike change like a cameleon!

I had the opportunity to take a picture of this rather unique specimen this summer.  All i can say is that it is pretty expensive and that it is a Yamaha R7.  The owner doesn't intend riding it, he just keeps it as a hobby.  Bikers heaven: open your garage and find these three baby's in it: GSXR 1100, Hayabussa GSX1300R and a Yamaha R1 all three of them equipped with Devil exhaust pipe(s).  Both the Hayabussa and the R1 get to ride quite often as they do over 1 000 km per week!

Next up is a picture of the two colours of the GSXSRAD 96-model.

Wait and see the bike change like a cameleon!

The first picture was taken after Ann, Vicky's aunt, crashed her GSXF on a tour with some friends.  Her husband took the picture after verifying that she was ok of course!  As we can see, she is already laughing shortly after the sudden contact with mother earth. The second picture shows the cameraman himself, Stef (that is short for Stefaan) with his brand new GPZ .  Stef is a computer expert as well as a bike expert and as you can see he enjoys the outdoor life a lot!  The third picture shows Kara, daughter of Ann and Stef, who also enjoys bikerides with mum and dad.  Although she says that riding in sidecar beats sitting in the back of a normal bike, hint for her daddy??  The fourth pictures shows two biker-clowns on a September ride of 180 km that took us from Ostend to France and back to Ostend again.  Five bikes for six people that day as Ann had a broken wrist and had to go in the back with Stef.  The fifth picture was taken at our arrival in Ostend that day, we were all ready for dinner and we weren't home yet as Ostend is some 25 km from home, luckily the organising biker-club had enough food for an army so we could just serve ourselves at arrival!

Here are some pictures of the bikes of my good friend Samuel.  The first 4 pictures show his previous bike, the Vulcan, together with his new bike, the Bandit 1200 S.  The Bandit is the exact same one as my girlfriend Vi had, exept that it's the 1200 instead of the 600.  The last picture was taken on a trip to Portugal, at that moment he had some luggage-holders put on the bike for the long trip!

The following pictures were sent to me by Jeroen.  He used to ride the blue R1 (which has been stolen), and now he rides the new CBR 929 (2000-model)!  According to him the R1 had more power ...
