Sun in the 8th House
  
This position of the Sun emphasizes an interest in mysteries, sex, finance, 
and the use of resources, etc. Instinctively, you are trying to connect to some 
mystical force so that you can reach out beyond the boundaries of your being. 
You sense that you can achieve this by coming together and interacting with 
other people. This occurs in a variety of ways and at all levels of 
consciousness. You may try to strengthen your identity and self-confidence by 
benefiting from other people's resources, but not necessarily in inappropriate ways.  
   
Some individuals find themselves involved more than most in the financial 
affairs of others. As such you may have a job that supports this. Others may be 
involved through some legacy or will. The eighth house has much to do with 
sharing and collective value, which may not be limited to material things. There 
is often a strong association with sex and the transformation of values. 
Transformation may occur due to a painful experience that serves as a catalyst 
for growth. Many will seek a deeper connection through a sexual relationship 
that goes beyond emotions. Others may have strong moralistic views.  
   
If the Sun receives challenging planetary aspects here, you may be possessive, 
jealous, and inclined towards lower realm witchcraft. Some astrologers equate 
the eighth house with criminal tendencies, but the whole chart should be 
examined for this. A well-aspected Sun suggests a resourceful, dignified, and 
humanistic type of person who aspires to use his or her angelic and psychic abilities.
