Neptune in the 9th House

  Given Neptune's idealistic, spiritual and sensitive energy, it is rather well-placed 
  in this house of philosophy, religion, higher education, and travel. If you 
  possess an open and malleable spirit, you will have lively powers of 
  imagination and an interest in things concerning the broadest horizons of human 
  nature. If you feel that you could be considerably more than you are now, you 
  should initiate the necessary course that will allow you to fully develop your 
  latent talents and abilities. However, be careful not to abandon yourself too 
  much to a philosophy, religion, cult, or guru since you may be tempted to give up 
  your personality and possessions too rashly. Much of your development will 
  center around tapping into Neptune's higher vibrations in order to gain spiritual 
  wisdom. This could involve meditation and constructive channeling of your 
  abilities.  

   
  If Neptune is adversely influenced by other planets, you could be extravagant, 
  tend to exaggerate-even be a religious fanatic. This would indicate that you are 
  content with the security of a single belief system and do not want to change. 

  Your intentions about life are noble, but somehow, you may not always be able 
  to put them into practice. Study may be difficult because you are easily confused 
  or distracted. You feel deeply disappointed if a course of study does not match 
  up to your high ideals, although there is often an illusion about the course in the 
  first place. When traveling, you may tend to wander because you have no 
  itinerary. It is possible that you travel somewhere only to discover that the place 
  does not match up to your expectations.  
   
  A well-influenced Neptune will negate much of the aforementioned challenges. It 
  will allow you to take advantage of further education and deepen your 
  philosophical knowledge through travel. You may discover spiritual links with a 
  country other than that of your homeland. Perhaps there is a preference to 
  journey by ship or boat.
