Mark's Snowmobile Page

Hello From the Great Lakes State and welcome to Marks Snowmobile Page. I am currently riding a 1999 Ski-Doo MXZ 670HO (because they kick ass) and do most of my riding in the Grayling area.

My only hobbies are Hunting and Snowmobiling, and are the two things that I truly "live" for (of course my wife and kids will ALWAYS be #1). I was a hunter long before I even dreamed of buying a sled, and continue to hunt whenever I can....But that's a whole nother' web page for me to work on.

As you can tell, I'm just like most of the other Ski-Doo guys, in that I love the color yelow !!! (I even wear yellow underwear) This page will probly be under construction and constantly changing as the riding season progresses (or untill I get bored with it).

This past winter kinda sucked, with El~Nino and all. I still managed to put on around 500 miles or so. The new trail from Gaylord to Indian River really rocks and I highly recomend it if you havn't tried it yet. It was made on the old rail road bed which is very smooth and very straight which really helps eliminate all the woops and brake bumps. Were talkin' some real high speed trails here!

So far, the changes and additions i've made to the HO are as follows:

Dropped/lowered the skid
Added 1" tunnell protectors
Rear heat exchanger hose guard
192 Woodys 5/16 x 1.075's with Saber angle backers
USI Tunnelight ski's (yellow of course)
Dyno-Port silencer (dropped some wt. with this)
Wind shield storage bag (you can never have enough storage space)
Changed all idelers to 6mm larger

Last season was farily uneventfull. No one got busted up too bad and none of us had any major sled problems. The current sled line-up in our group go something like this:

Ron- 97 Mach I, Ron Jr.- 99 T-Cat, Ken- 97 T-Cat, Guy- 98 Mach Z, Billy "the kid"- 97 ZR-580, "Grayling" Joe- 98 SX 600, and me, 99 670HO

Stay tuned for pics of this motly crew. As usual, my buddy Ron is always doin' something "wierd" and this year is no exception! (I think he's finaly lost his mind). This year Ron is going to ride with some sort of "red light" attached to his helmet!!! I gotta tell ya...This is quite embarassing for the rest of us and were not sure just how were going to deal with this.

Every year, we as a group kinda do our own "best sled" thing. (nothing scientific here, just plain ol' reportin' on what we saw and rode and our thoughts on those sleds)

The sleds we saw broke down and being worked on the most along the trail were STILL the CRAP made by Polaris. But the brainwashed Polaris people still keep on buying them. Please don't all you Polaris guys send hate mail...it's nothing personal. Besides, it's my page and I can say what I want!!! (make your own damn page and you can say what you want)

This summer I've decideed to get into grass drags. It has really been alot of fun so far and extends my snowmobile season into a year round thing. The sled is realy runnng good and giving the competition a real run for it's money. If your interested in getting into this sport, check out the article I did for Off-Road.Com (follow the link from my page).
