Notes for REV. FRANCIS LUSK:

[Personal note from Steven Lusk, as of 27 May 2006]

The connection between the Rev. Francis Lusk and Samuel is not verified with any hard documentation, Francis and Phebe were married in the New Windsor Presbyterian Church in 1778, and in 1781 Samuel was baptised there.  No other Lusks lived in New Windsor at the time, so we can definitely say that Samuel was the son of Francis and Phebe Wood Lusk.

[According to an e-mail from Barbara Lucas (Dixeebarb@aol.com) on Saturday, 9 Feb 2002 10:12:28 EST, the following is stated:]

"...I had put some queries on about Francis Lusk of Ulster, NY and here is what I was sent

"Marriage records: New Windsor Presbyterian Church
3-17-1778  Francis Lusk & Phebe Wood
        both of Newburgh

"Francis does not reappear on the 1800 census (he was on 1790 census)

"Baptismal Records, New Windsor Presbyterian
8-1-1875  Lusk  child of Francis Lusk
        7-29-1781  Lusk, Samuel

"Local rec show Francis taking in several females in support of the poor during 1791 and 1792.

"He then fades frm local records.. ..."
