Welcome. This site is for family researchers. I hope it is both informative and helpful to you. Good Luck and God Bless!!

The links to the left will send you to the detailed genealogy I have gathered about my family, the LUSK's, and my wife's family, the BIER's.

So far, my research has traced this Lusk branch to New York. Much of the family is still in the lower peninsula of Michigan, but we now have family throughout the United States. On our way from New York, my Great-Great Grandfather Samuel Richard LUSK (1838-1911) "at one time owned 320 acres of where the city of Lincoln, Neb. is now located" (stated in his obituary).

The majority of LUSKs in the United States trace their origin to 3 LUSK brothers that arrived in North America from the British Isles in the 17th Century.  I have not found a connection, but I'm still hopeful.  My latest quest is for the parents of Francis LUSK.  His place of birth puts him in New York, but I have not been able to seriously look for some time.

Go to Our Family Tree to find the other families represented, and how they relate to my main LUSK line.

I will be posting more books to the site.  I have incorporated some of their information in the family listings, but still have some work to do.  Go to the Library for more information.

Research on my wife's family, the BIER's of Wisconsin, has really expanded. These lines include the DOLL's of North Dakota, and the BINGEN's and FERBER's of Wisconsin.  With the addition of my wife's family, I've split the site.  If you're looking for a particular family fast look in Our Family Tree.

NOTE:  If you're a past visitor researching the BENEDICT family line, I have combined the list into one site.  The information included in the book, is now included with all of the information from other sources, and I am in the process of incorporating the proven false items in the book.  I will be adding the better 2nd book in the future.

I give no guarantees that the included information is perfect, but I've tried to document my research as much as possible.  Like most amateur genealogists, I did not start with good documentation, because I didn't understand what I was getting into.  I'm also human and make mistakes.  I've made a concerted effort to correct my earlier mistakes or lapses, but I'm sure there are still problems that I've missed.

Most of my information has been gained from internet resources. This can result in some errors. I found a significant family error that had been carried along in some published books also, but these have proven false and caused some problems.

I am willing to share any information I have, and I'm always looking for corrections. E-mail me, I'd love to hear from you. Have fun.

The basic page design was done by MADD River Designs. Their support has been fantastic. A special thanks goes out to Marsha Bryant for all of her support.

Thank you to all past contributors.  Your corrections, inquiries and help are both informative and helpful.  As a fellow researcher once told me, "We are all cousins."  Good luck and God Bless.
