Dear Fellow
Home Educators:
We are very
excited to be able to offer you an amazing opportunity to hear Michael
Farris speak, meet him in person and hear what the Lord has laid on his
heart to share. This outstanding opportunity, sponsored by the Delta County
Home Educators, will be held in the little Upper Peninsula town of Gladstone,
located on the north shore of Lake Michigan. The conference will be held
Friday evening April 4th and all day Saturday April 5th,
2003.
Michael
Farris, father of 10 children, is the founder of Home School Legal
Defense Association, President of Patrick Henry College,
and a constitutional lawyer. Education Week named Mike one of the
most significant “100 Faces of a Century,” and credited him with helping
to move home education “out of the shadows and pushing states to codify
parents’ right to teach their children themselves.”
We encourage
you all to make this commitment to attend this conference and encourage
other homeschoolers to do the same. As a way to spread the word and show
support we are asking that you photocopy the enclosed flyer and registration,
pass it out to those in your support group and put flyers in store fronts
and libraries.
