I want to set aside a little piece of my web page to honor a man whom my family loved. This man was my father's dad(my grandpa). Now I know that this may seem a little strange to most but I feel it deserves this space.
On March 8, 2001 my grandfather passed away and went on to his second life up in heaven with all the others that have passed away in my life time.
I look back on my life and realized that that man was one of a kind. He taught his children and grandchildern to live life no matter what came your way. He taught us all how to catch the best fish or how to cope when we didn't catch anything.
He loved to tell stories and laugh til he couldn't laugh anymore with tears rolling down his cheeks. We all learned about World War II, what life was back in his early years, and how to do different things with the car or around the house.
My grandfather along with the help of my grandma raised his kids right and taught them morals which was passed down to the third generation. Each one of us were lucky to have met a great man and know him. From that result I know my dad is alot like my
grandfather. I rememeber asking my father one of the days of the funeral "Dad, Was grandpa a great dad to you?" He said without hesitation' "Yes he was a wonderful father." I look back now on my life with my dad and now as I have grown and live on my own and
my parents in Cape Coral
, Florida, I know my dad is alot like my grandpa. Below is a picture of something that shows what a dad would do for his kids. We were bored and trying to have a good time in spite of what was going on and decided that my dad
needed a makeover for the family. Here is to a couple of generations of humor, laughter, happiness and great memories!
Now I have other family and them too are great people. Everyone of them make up who I am. The artist in me, the desire for more, the sensitive side, the knowledge for things, ability to be a woman and the ability to get up every morning and just be me!
Family is important and sometimes losing one of them makes you realize that time is precious and you have to enjoy the ones down here on earth before something happens. Live life, embrace others and give it your all!
