You are about to read a slave story. It is about slavery and what it was like to be a slave. Some of the characters in the story
are Kwame and Kofi. Slavery started back in  1619 until about 1865. Slavery was a cruel thing the slaves got whipped all the
time if they did something bad like talk back, didn't do their work din't answer the overseer's when they called them or told
them to say there English name. It was very hard to be a slave every white person put you down. Slaves had very little rights for
example they could not marry, could not own a gun,could not own property, could not get together with more than 5 blacks
without white present. I hope who enjoy my story!!
