1356. Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud (R.A.A): Allah's Messenger (SAW), the true and truly inspired said, "(The matter of the creation of) a human being is put together in the womb of the mother in forty days, and then he becomes a clot of blood for a similar period, and then a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then Allah sends an angel who is ordered to write down his (i.e. the new creature's) deeds, his livlihood, his (date of) death, and whether he will be blessed or wretched (in the Hereafter). Then the soul is breathed into him. So, a man amongst you may do (good) deeds till there is only a cubit between him and Paradise and then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing (evil) deeds characteristic of the people of the (Hell) Fire. And similarly a man amongst you may do (evil) deeds till there is only a cubit between him and the (Hell) Fire, and then what has been written for him decides his behavior, and he starts doing deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise." (Summarized Bukhari, The Book of the Beginning of Creation); {4:430-O.B}
Insha-allah in this website on pregnancy I'm going to give the Muslim Moms to be information on what we should be doing to prepare for our births and how we should raise our children according to Islam, not according to the Western World in which we live. Allah (SWT) and His Prophet(SAW) have given us the guidelines on how we should raise our children. Our children are a test for us and we will on the Day of Judgement be questioned as to how we raised them.
Insha-allah I will do my best to post things we should do during birth and after birth. Moms who have already been here can help us out with post in the forums area below.
May Allah bless all of the new Moms out there with pious children and May Allah bless you with a easy Labor and Delivery. Ameen.
