The Grave of George Peppin
This section of my page contains a photo of the grave of George Peppin, Dolan henchman and Sheriff of Lincoln County at the end of the Lincoln County War. He died of bowel in Sept. 1904 and was thereafter buried in the cemetery in Lincoln, located at the eastern end of town.

The headstone reads "Geo. W. Peppin Co. A. 5 Cal. Inf." This type of headstone was reserved for men who served in the military, as Peppin had.
