On the right is a photo of Dan Dedrick, friend of Billy the Kid. He was a part-time Regulator, joining the group in time to fight in the Five-Day Battle, in which he was wounded in the arm. After the war, he became involved with Billy's rustling schemes, as well as dealing in the passing of counterfeit money. The famous tintype of Billy was given to Dan by the Kid himself, serving as proof of their friendship.
