One night we were on a stage playing a song and the elders of punk were there, somewhere
watching and listening
and they were yelling something at us, but I don't know what-because the music was too loud to tell Which is maybe what they were saying (?) Iggy Pop was floating next to the 'dancing idiot' with admiration and D. Boon was standing with Johnny Thunders, directly in front of The Guitarist saying,
"Wow."
Deborah Harry was pogoing with the Geeks. My Mom was videotaping everything.
Someone brought me water, I think
Security was throwing Sid Vicious out.
"...and I'll be 10 foot tall..."
Don't know what David Lee Roth was doing there, but he was enjoying it! He kept asking to sing between every song. We said, "no." And all the Geeks were telling him he was cut off. Someone kept saying, "Last call, Dave!"
Joey Ramone was standing there. He seemed amused. He smiled, and nodded his head, when Kidd sang "We sit back like they taught us..." Iggy kept trying to mosh.
But not like a normal person.
I started screaming about all the crap on my tv, then some people cheered, and we looked out from the stage and I felt relieved but wanted more so I cried a little for some reason like always and we started thinking about the next gig!
and Iggy vomited near the mixing boards.
