Meet the time
clock

A recent study made in several third world countries by the World bank showed that productivity was reduced in many companies and government departments that abolished the " infamous time clock"
Workers became less loyal to arriving on time when there was no time clock.

Are we ready for the year 2000 ?

Many companies have computers and software installed that will crash by the year 2000.
Most old computer containing valuable payroll, customer, product and other company specific data are not safeguarded when the clock turns midnight on the night of December 31, 1999.  By a oversight in the software driving these computers the computer will not automatically change its calendar to the year 2000. Many experts predict that this problem may render several computer systems and their data useless.
We have come to rely so much on computers that we may find us without salaries and bank accounts when we reach the year 2000. The question is still valid.
Are we year for the year 2000 ?

Overhead or overdead

Your profit can be consumed entirely by a unknown thief called overhead. High overhead cost will creep up in your company and wreck havoc with your margins. Before you know it you may be spending more on desks, office supplies, computers, software that nobody uses, telephone costs, mailing cost, custom made letterheads, business cards, too much office clerks, and all sorts of hidden costs called overhead.  Did you notice that office supplies have the habit of disappearing ? When was the last time you looked at your telephone cost? To systematically reduce these costs: start by putting one person responsible for reducing these costs. He should make an graph of these costs and determine their trends. Hereafter he should make a plan to reduce these costs. Promise him a percentage of the savings as an incentive. Start controlling overhead or soon your company may be overdead.
