Size: Large Notes: Gus is great with other dogs, no matter what size they are. He LOVES sleeping on the futon at night, or in bed with us and usually the floor during the day, for whatever reason. : ) Gus is a real gentleman. Probably best if children are over 4+. He's GREAT with the 6 week old puppies running around his feet. GUS UPDATE 07/26/06: Gus is now with rescue, looking for a forever home. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is housebroken, car rides, and would LOVE to have his own lazyboy, or he'll share with you. He loves sitting behind me in my office chair, and is very content there. A fenced yard is mandatory for all of our rescue dogs. Gus weighs 72 pounds, and is solid muscle. Size: Large Notes: Shaq is a 3 yr. old male that is in need of a very loving home, and people that will take the time to work with him with other dogs, females only. He was in a great home, but after only 6 days, and because of an altercation with another male dog, he was asked to leave by the management where they live. BTW, he was at a Superbowl party this year with over 100 people, he had a blast with everyone going a over him, he loves people. Shaq is very high prey driven, so for their own protection, no small dogs, no cats, no male dogs. He was fine with the female he was living with. Size: Medium A GSP that's about 1 1/2 years old that needs a new home. His owner took him in about a year ago after he was found in the woods. They have found that he is just not in the right environment. Their yard is too small for him and he has such a STRONG hunting drive that he hops their fence to chase the neighborhood critters. Hunter is neutered, up to date on vaccines and such a sweet little guy. He does wonderful around all people, big and small, as well as other dogs. He is too intensely interested in cats, but is always very gentle. He needs a 6' fenced yard or invisible fence to run so he can chase the birds, etc. We think with the right training, he could make a great hunting companion, but no guarantees. He is crate trained and knows the basic commands. He's a great sleeper--will sleep until you get up in the morning. She was placed at a shelter by her breeder with a couple of her puppies because of personal reasons beyond their control. She is a great girl looking for a wonderful home that will keep her busy, she loves to have fun. Her owner also told me she's a great hunter. Size: Medium Sissy is an 11 year old female that loves to cuddle, play and chase tennis balls, she also retrieves great. Sissy can't be adopted where there are small children, she may knock them down by accident. She likes most male dogs, but no female dogs, and no cats. She doesn't move like she's 11. Sissy has been in rescue for 10 years. Wouldn't it be great if she had someone that cared about her the way she could love you back? Size: Large Notes: Jake is 9 years old, liver and white with ticked markings. He's not neutered, has a full brown head, large brown patch on right side and slightly smaller patch on left side, docked tail, shorter ears then most. Extremely friendly, very calm, doesn't bark or whine much at all. Any help the owner can get would be greatly appreciated. They miss him alot! He's their best friend and only "child"!
