and wildlife. We hope to introduce
others to some of our favorite places to visit. We will begin with Michigan, but hope to introduce some of the

Kensington Metropark is a scenic 4357-acre recreational facility that provides year-round fun for all ages. Its wooded hilly terrain surrounds beautiful Kent Lake.
Paddleboats and rowboats are available at the Boat Rental Building near Maple Beach.
Shelters are available and may be reserved.
Year around sites
available for overnight and day camping for organized youth groups.
Campsites available for canoeist on overnight trips.
A 6378 yard 18 hole par 71 public golf course. Power cars and hand carts available.
Mainly bass, walleye, bluegill, pike, and crappies.
View animals in the barn, poultry house and pasture. Hayrides/sleigh rides on weekends. Turn of the century farmhouse has sandwiches, soft drinks and ice cream available. Eight miles of well marked hiking and biking trails traverse picturesque landscapes.
Individuals with their own horses may use 10 miles of marked trail.
Exhibits relating to the wildlife of the park. Labeled nature trails in woods, fields and marshes.
The variety of trees and shrubs make park drives one of southeastern Michigan’s finest autumn Color Tours.
Martindale Beach and Maple Beach. Beach houses have food bars, dressing rooms, coin lockers, sanitary and first aid facilities. Swimming permitted only at beaches and only when lifeguards are on duty.
Cross Country Ski Touring Center with marked trails, equipment rental and food bar. Ice skating, sledding and tobogganing available near a heated building with fireplace and food bar. |
