CH. SHOOTER’S VALENTINO. NAVHDA Utility Prize 1
Rudy is one our newest GSP to the Shooter’s family. He fits in perfectly for what we were hoping for from this breeding. We took one of our finest bitches and bred her back to her Great Grandfather to strengthen the traits we love most. This breeding has proven to be everything we had hoped for. You couldn’t ask for a more enjoyable and trainable Shorthair. He possesses the field abilities that we expect and breed for to be the perfect hunting partner. Without much work on our part, Rudy is steady to wing shot and fall and he’s displaying the natural honoring which is really a bonus. His manners and antics in the home are what we love most about Rudy. He’s friendly, animated, has loads of desire and is very, very loving.
Rudy completed his Championship at the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Michigan’s Specialty Show which was really an honor. This summer (2005) he completed his NAVHDA Utility title and we are now working on his Master title. We expect a lot out of this young boy and if I know Rudy, he’ll come through for us. He’s been with us on all our trips to Northern MI for grouse and woodcock and has accompanied us to Iowa and South Dakota for pheasants. His points are staunch and he’s steady until sent, he’s a blast to watch. We love the way he covers ground; not too big a runner and we never push up birds, he’s finding them for us.
All our dogs are first and foremost part of our family. They are entertaining, loyal and love to please. We pride ourselves on our dog’s sound, calm temperaments and we’re hearing more and more from puppy owners how these traits are being passed along to their pups. Rudy has been bred three times to date and although the pups are still very young, they are displaying these same genes that we, “Shooter’s”, strive for. References available.

CH. Shooter's Manny's Rising Son MH. CD. NAVHDA UT Prize II.
Sonny was our main hunting partner. Not that the others did not get their time in the field but Sonny was the one we counted on day in and day out. Sonny would give up all the biscuits in China if he thought that would please us. That's what he lived for.....to please.
Sonny has repeatedly reproduced exceptional hunting dogs and best friends for many people. his calm disposition, strong hunting abilities and biddable behavior is what many found attractive, not to mention his striking appearance. Sadly, Sonny is no longer with us. however his Frozen Semen is still available to approved bitches.

Shooter's Pitch'In A Tent. SH. NAVHDA UT PRIZE II.
"Woody" is a 4 year old German Shorthaired Pointer. He came from a repeat breeding to DC AFC Trekker V Grunbaum MH UDX AGX TDX, after we lost our Manny. This obviously was a good combination for us looking at all the desire and natural abilities these pups have shown. Woody just needs to know what's expected of him and he'll do his best to accomodate.
Woody has all the talent and abilities we could have hoped for. He has a superb nose, picking up scent from an amazing distance and a very stylish point. He received a NAVHDA Natural Ability Prize II as a youngster and just recently acheived/received a NAVHDA UPT Prize II (just 1 point shy from a Prize I). We'll continue to train through the winter, striving for that UT Prize I. Woody also has his AKC Senior title which demonstrates his hunting abilities as judged against the Hunt Test standards. Woody is standing at stud to approved bitches only.
