Dr. Clark Lemley was one of the founders of our Michigan club. Dr. Clark Lemley, had been an active member throughout the years. Dr. Clark Lemley, served as president for the first five years, 1941, 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945. Dr. Clark Lemley served as Vice President 1951 and 1952, and Secretary and Treasurer 1949. and again elected to the Presidency in 1964. Dr. Clark Lemley was chairman of the first field trial committee and he had written several articles about the breed, which qualified him for a History assignment, that documented the Michigan Club from years 1941 to 1966 not only because of local interest, but also on a national basis (President, National Association, 1964, 1965, and 1966)


Dr. Clark Lemley was the owner of Feldstrom Kennels located in Northville Michigan and then relocated to Highland Michigan. Dr. Clark Lemley purchased his first German Shorthaired Pointer from Bredrite Kennels of Dr. Charles R. Thornton of Missoula, Montana in 1938. This German Shorthaired Pointer was Count V Feldstrom. Count V Feldstrom was by: Pal v Waldhausen out of Ann v Brickwedde. Dr. Lemley also owned Ch. Alsedda. Alsedda was by: Tim V Altenau out of Ch. Tillie v Rheinburg and Tillie was by: Tim v Altenau out of Distel v Rheinburg. Dr. Clark Lemley had many stars in his kennel. Ona v Dakota By: Kronos V Habichtahof out of Silvia v Dusseldorf was one of them. Dr. Lemley also owned Ch. Joan v Feldstrom. Ch. Davey's Jim Dandy out of Ch. Joan v Feldstrom produced Ch. Duse v Feldstrom and Hall of Fame, Dual Champion, National Field Champion. Dandy Jim v Feldstrom. Dr. Clark Lemley also imported from Germany FC. Asso V Drostenhof and FC. Jutta V.D. Radbach. Dr. Clark Lemley at one time had over 100 dogs in his kennels.

Bill Dunbar and Minnie Dunbar and DC. NFC Dandy Jim V. Feldstrom with Trophies for DC, NFC Dandy Jim V. Feldstroms AKC Field Trial Championship Sept 1953. DC, NFC Dandy Jim V. Feldstrom was trained and handled by Bill Dunbar. Dandy Jim V. Feldstrom won the 5 point open all-age stake at the GSP club of Ill Trial Volo, Ill Sept 13th. This placement gave Dandy Jim enough points for his field championship. The Wes McCain Silver Tray was awarded to Mr. Bill Dunbar for best Amateur handler at the Trial. Dr. Clark Lemley of Detroit was the owner.
