Our Michigan German Shorthaired Pointer Club has been holding dog shows for over 60 years. Some may believe that Dog shows are nothing more than contests for the best looking dog. Nothing could be further from the truth. These dogs are being judged against a standard set by the American Kennel Club and the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America and it's membership. Without these standards. The German Shorthaired Pointer would not be able to preform it's job in the field.
