John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that
whosoever believes in Him might not perish but have eternal life.
In the third chapter of John, Jesus was explaining to a man how to
attain eternal life.
John 3:2
This man came to Jesus by night
and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for
no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him."
John 3:3
Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say
to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." KJV
Although these scriptures are quite well known, many do not
understand the deep significance of the spiritual awakening which Jesus
was referring to in this allegory. I encourage you to read this chapter of
the bible because it deals with the overwhelming importance of preparing
for eternity.
