Then there's the Simulation mode. This is where the real fun is. Once again, you start the game with 10,000 credits and have to buy a car and earn your lisences like in the first installment. But here's some good news for those of you that didn't like having to do all those lisence tests in GT... The lisence tests in GT2 are ALOT easier, but there's 60 of them. Initialy, there are 5 lisences to get with 10 tests each... Then, when you get all of those, there's another Lisence class (S-Class) to get. These are quite dificult, since they are all full laps around the various courses in GT2. The lisence tests get increasingly dificult and frustrating when you try to get all gold ratings in them. But for your troubles, you get some really nice cars.

Once again, the Mitsubishi FTO LM Edition is one of my favorite cars in the game. Quick acceleration, good top speed (but not great unless it's tweaked) and superb handling. Soon I will have a page with my personal fav's for each race. One of my major gripes about GT2 other than the alleged deletion of your entire garage which I have fortunatly not had the pleasure of seeing first hand, is that you can race any car in any race as long as it is under the HP requirments, the right drivetrain (ff/fr/mr/4wd), and the right aspiration. It makes the game too easy when you can race something like the Ford GT40 in a race like the Station Wagon Cup. What kind of crap is that!?!?!? Thats just ignorant. The list that I put up will be the best car (in my opinion) for those races that would actually work in those races... eg. station wagons for the station wagon cup (gee, what a concept!) The list will be up in the next few days, since the only working computer I have at home is an OLD IBM 80386 (and man does it hurt to go that slow) and I don't have a PSX at work, where I have a much nicer computer to play with.. :Þ
