History
Zargoth is an oddity among the realm of dread. Created to be an Iron Golem his creator sought more than what was desired. Thus the first lord in the bloodline of Balistin used the artifact known only as the Apparatus.
The effect worked better than was let on however. While Rikan Balistin had intended to give his creation greater power by giving it the life force of others he had never intrended it to actually live or gain emotions or even more dangerous independent intelligence.
But gain it did. Zargoth was given peasants,warriors,wizards of many shapes and forms and finally during old age Rikan had given himself to the beast when his son took over the manor his own essence granting great and powerful telepathic powers to this monsterousity and also began his curse.
Zargoth while he now had an appearance that mocked the normal human race was doomed by the goal that was now unreachable, each essence screams in his mind to find freedom yet the rikan essence was the strongest binding him the Balistin bloodline, whom ever wore the royal seal of this family and had the blood he was doomed to obey there verbal commands as well as to grant them there dreams if it was in his power.
Unlike normal Darklords of Ravenloft bound to one country of two miles Zargoth is freely allowed to leave the bounds of one country but he will unfortunitly find no matter where he goes another member of the Balistin waiting with the power to control him. This is the story of a puppet that knows he should have no strings but is unable to cut them or to see where or whom is using them.
