Welcome to the Home Page of Workers United to Free Mumia (WUFM). WUFM is an action committee based in Detroit, Michigan. Our goal is to draw the labor movement, unorganized and unemployed workers, and partisans of the working class into the struggle to overturn the false conviction of Mumia Abu-Jamal.

WUFM is active not only in Detroit, but also in the nearby city of Pontiac, Mich., as well as Windsor in Ontario, Canada. We maintain links with other labor-based coalitions like Workers to Free Mumia in New York City and the Labor Action Committee to Free Mumia Abu-Jamal in the San Francisco Bay Area of California.

We call on all workers and allies of labor in the southeast Michigan/southwest Ontario to help build WUFM as a broad united front of working people. We also encourage people who share this vision to organize labor-based and worker-oriented coalitions and action committees to free Mumia Abu-Jamal and all political prisoners.
