Hello, I am 22 years old and attend Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. Before coming to Michigan State I lived in Iron Mountain, Mi in the beautiful Upper Peninsula. I attended Iron Mountain High School which is a small school with about 350 students, there I played football and wrestled, and also was the captain of the Quiz Bowl team. I have loved the outdoors my whole life and have been an active birder from about the age of 9 and a hunter since age 12. At Michigan State I am majoring in Wildlife Biology and hope one day to work as a wildlife biologist helping rare bird species. I also enjoy fishing and hiking. I have worked for Michigan Technological University on a project involving openland birds. I have also worked for the United States Forest Service surveying Kirtland's Warbler and other species. I also worked in Montana on a project looking at the life history of Mountain Plovers. Last summer I was the biology intern at Seney National Wildlife Refuge.
