This web site features the Tornados. The Tornados were a premier level soccer team who played last season as a U-13 team in Michigan's Little Ceaser's League. After a successful year a difficult decision had to be made. Some of our girls were leaving soccer to pursue other sports or entering high school sports. In order to assure that as many of our returning players as possible could continue as a select team, the team management decided to meld our team into Birmingham United FC. We felt that the FC team philosophy closely met the way the Tornados had been run. We were sorry to learn that not all of the Tornados were able to be offered a position on the United FC team. This certainly does not reflect your abilities as a player but rather the larger than expected numbers of Tornados, returning FC playes and others at the tryouts. The United FC coaches made the player selections. To those Tornados continuing on as United FC players we know you will have a great year. To those Tornados who will be playing other sports, playing on other teams or taking the year off from soccer we hope you will continue to feel welcome. We hope to see you at next year's tryouts and show the FC coaches they made a mistake!!
