Tim Taylor's Life Story, in condensed form:



I grew up in a Christian family, with parents who had already trusted in Christ personally for many years before I was born.

I was always in church with my parents and heard the story of how everyone is a sinner and separated from God. How everyone needs to change their mind and heart to admit their rebellion against God and accept that Jesus Christ's death 2000 years ago was payment for MY sin.

I accepted this truth for me at the age of 7. It's not like I could have done much in the way of open rebellion at that age, but I knew God was perfect and I was not.

I went to my Mom and asked her one Sunday after church if I could become a Christian like her and Dad? She was more than happy to help me to pray to God to admit my own personal sin and to accept for myself the forgiveness of God because of Christ's sacrifice.



You see, I knew that only a perfect, faultless sacrifice would be acceptable to a perfect God and only Christ was perfect. God loved me SO MUCH that he sent Jesus Christ, His son, to earth to be born of a virgin, live a sinless life, and then to willingly die a death that would be a complete satisfaction of all the debts of sin for everyone, everywhere, who would receive this sacrifice on their behalf.

I didn't want to die without Christ and face an eternity without God and Heaven and I sure didn't want to go to Hell!

I haven't lived a perfect life since age 7 -- far from it -- but whenever I have sinned, I knew I could turn to God because of Christ and my confession of sin restored the fellowship that sin had interrupted.



My faith in Christ has only grown deeper through the years as I learned more and came to trust Christ for more areas of my everyday life. My life now is wrapped up in Christ and his message of good news for people anywhere & everywhere.

No matter what the question or problem, faith in Christ is the answer or solution. It's not all easy. The Christian life is sometimes difficult -- even painful -- but there's a deep underlying joy and peace in the middle of the pain and the temptations of life.



And Christ is the answer for everyone. He IS truth. He IS life. And Christ is the ONLY way. No other means or method or philosophy will do what Christ does -- and can do for YOU. IF you let Him do His work in and through you.

It's not just the truth for Tim Taylor or for whites or Westerners or Americans. Christ is the solution for everyone, regardless what you've done, where you're from, what race you are -- Christ knows all about you and loves you regardless of any factor you think excludes you.

The only thing that excludes you is your own unbelief.



YOU have to say "Yes" to Christ and accept what He did for you; otherwise there's no good future for you in the long run.

The choice is YOURS!

We all need friends, and when we become Christians, we suddenly join a worldwide fellowship of friends—friends we will enjoy forever!

When the Spirit of God and the love and forgiveness of God fill our hearts, all the barriers sin has erected break down.

Then, by the grace of God, husbands and wives, neighbors and friends, brothers and sisters, children and parents, nations and races reunite and reconcile one to another. We become one in Christ.

Are you experiencing this wonderful friendship in your life?

Sometimes we don't experience this fellowship because we allow sin to separate us from God and each other.

This division wreaks havoc in our world.

As we cease to share our values, emotions, and the deepest purposes of our lives, we grow more distant, more leery of connecting with anyone. And the lack of abiding friendships in our homes, schools, families, and even churches, causes anxiety, turmoil, and insecurity in our society.

The devil feeds on this division, working toward eternal separation of people from God and from one another.

But Christ stops that work. Christ unites us with God and with each other, creating a great big family, a family in the deepest, most spiritual, noblest, and holiest sense of the word.

As believers, we develop a relationship so intimate that Paul describes it as one body. We unite to become the body of Christ.

The deep friendships we can have with other believers bring us great joy here on earth. They reflect the perfect unity heaven has in store for us.

In fact, we can anticipate Christian communion, which will go far beyond earthly friendship, because we have brothers and sisters we have not even met but to whom we are closely linked through Christ for eternity.

In an alienated and lonely world, the worldwide Church has a great privilege and opportunity to show the world true friendship.

I challenge you to build eternal friendships starting today. Can you think of a Christian brother or sister you'd like to know better?

Jesus - Man Of Contrasts

On that first Palm Sunday, one might have expected Jesus the King to enter Jerusalem on a mighty steed. But He chose instead a lowly donkey. Before He could come as a King to reign, He had to come as a Savior to die.

Throughout His life on earth, Jesus was a man of striking contrasts—reflecting both His genuine humanity and His full deity.

Someone once wrote this about Jesus:

"He who is the Bread of Life began His ministry hungering.

He who is the Water of Life ended His ministry thirsting.

Christ hungered as a man, yet fed the hungry as God.

He was weary, yet He is our rest.

He paid tribute, yet He is the King.

He was called a devil, but He cast out demons.

He prayed, yet He hears prayer.

He wept, and He dries our tears.

He was sold for 30 pieces of silver, yet He redeems sinners.

He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, yet He is the Good Shepherd.

He gave His life, and by dying He destroyed death."

We would expect to find such contrasts in the life of One who was fully God and fully man.

Jesus, who is the sovereign Lord of the universe, became a man to provide for our redemption. But one day He will return as King of kings.

Jesus, the God-man, deserves all our praise.

Equal opportunity is an important consideration in the making of personnel policies, but if there is a conflict between career considerations and military necessity, the needs of the military -- and the nation -- must come first.

The armed forces should not be used for political purposes or social experiments that needlessly elevate risks, detract from readiness, or degrade American cultural values.

Sound personnel policies are as crucial as advanced weapons systems in preserving readiness and a strong national defense. Decisions to deploy troops must be made not by international authorities, but by the Congress of the United States and public officials who are accountable to the American people.

Essential elements of military culture, such as discipline, efficiency, and high standards in training, must not be compromised or degraded in order to advance sociological goals at the expense of readiness.
