Welcome To St. Mary's Syrian Orthodox Church
St. Mary's Malankara Syrian Orthodox Church in Detroit is a very lovely, and beautiful place to worship our Lord on Sunday Mornings. Although it's a small congregation, the members are very close and tight. These people are the perfect definition for family. They take care of one another at time of sadness and rejoice at times of happiness. Everyone in the whole church is active especially the youth. The youth group at St. Mary's has evolved into something more ideal for the church. They take care of matters that deal directly with youth or within those limitations. But don't forget that all of these rights would not be obtained by the members unless they had a loving and caring achen and chemachen. Rev. Fr. Philip G. Sankarathil and Dn. John P. Sankarathil are two of the nicest men that I have ever met before. Philip achen has know me since I was born, and I personally know that he's a nice man, and that he cares about the church and religion. Dn. John really cares about the youth members. He's always there when you need him for something, especially advice. St. Mary's Church has all the right ingrediants to maintain a beautiful congregation. I wish and invite whoever saw this homepage to come and visit the church. They will happily take you in.
