Commonly known as "Spindle Cowrie" or "Allied Cowrie", Ovulidae species very rarely exceed a few centimetres in length, most are less than 2 cm! Their colour is generally to suit specific background and provide camouflage.
This example was about 1cm long at 22 metres off Khorfakkan, UAE and is possibly Phenacovolva rosea
