Nudibranchs, some of my favourite photographic subjects, cos they don't move
too fast, and are very colourful.
Of course there are exceptions and not all fall into the above
description, but generally most of the subjects on the related pages
do.
Most, as you can see from my photographs, are very colourful,
basically to advertise that they do not taste very good,
In case you are unaware of what a nudibranch is, it is in fact a type of
underwater snail (with no shell). NUDIBRANCH literally means NAKED
GILLS. Most have feathery bits on their back which are the gills, the
two horns on the front are called RHINOPHORES.
A more precise introduction and accurate description of these Opisthobranchs can be found in Nathalie Yonow's book published in 2008, which also happens to contain 16 photographs of mine (although one is credited to the wrong person, which I hope is corrected in the next print)
Interesting that both Nathalie and myself both chose Nembrotha megalocera as the cover for our Sea slug intro

For a complete list by species
I hope that after viewing the above pages and checking out my links that you can appreciate why some people become obsessed by these magnificent creatures, and if you already are, I hope that you enjoyed my images.
Two Chromodoris species mating .... oh naughty!
The advantage of being an hermaphrodite is that you can have sex with
anyone of the same species.
