Some of my photographs have been used in a new book published last year by Dr. Nathalie Yonow prompting me to review my list and some re-classification will be in order.
The book also includes photos by other people I have dived with when I was living in Jeddah, notably Jurgan Kuchinke (RIP), Kevin & Tuula Metcalfe, and Hagen Schmid

Back in Dubai now and time to sort out the pics from the Redang trip
But first the ears!
The right one is good as can be seen above, but the left looks awful with the eardrum collapsed over the second bone. Still feels weird although I can equalise ok on the two flights yesterday I had no problems.
Diving at Redang last week was pretty good apart for my ear problem, but only spotted one nudibranch when I had the 10.5mm lens on, Yanni had more luck on a shore dive.
D300 housing working a treat, but left ear decided to give up on me during a morning dive, and after visiting an ENT specialist in Penang, the eardrum has collapsed over the second bone (Stapes) and will need to have another evaluation once back in Dubai and probably have a tympanogram done to check how strong the eardrum is, but my guess no diving for 6 weeks at least ..... bugga. Equalising ok on the last two flights though, so I guess that is something.
Thanks to Eric, William and Joe (another macro lover .... some of his photos will be posted soon) of Redang Bay Dive Center, also Richard, Carol, Melanie and Alexander from Paris, Hui Chai Tan from KL, and Lea from Basel

Just spent two days diving at the Damaniyat Islands north of Muscat in Oman. Great viz, so I decided to experiment with my 10.5mm lens with dome port, with mixed results. A few more dives and I might just get it right for that elusive whale shark
Photo below will be linkable once I have returned to Dubai
