My first attempt to build a Home Page On the Net pertaining to some of
the "collectibles" that I pursue.
For this "First Attempt", I am going to start with Road Maps.
Road Maps? People collect Road Maps? People collect the strangest things.
I once heard of a fellow who collected TOILET PAPER... yes TOILET PAPER.
The article didn't say if it was unused or used, just TOILET PAPER.
Later I will attempt to have a page regarding my POST CARDS, KEY CHAIN
LICENSE PLATE TAGS (KLP's), POP CANS and BOTTLES, BEER CANS, LICENSE PLATES,
PORCELAIN ADVERTISING SIGNS, NEON SIGNS, CORVETTE PROMO MODELS, WHEATIES
BOXES, CASINO TOKENS, CASINO MATCHES, SPORTS TEAM SCHEDULES, TRUCK and
AIRPLANE COIN BANKS, and on, and on, and on, the list is endless.
No longer given away to any customer who wished one at the local service
station, those great looking grapics no longer gracing the fronts of "todays"
generic maps, a lost art. What a shame.
Below is a link to a listing of maps that I have for trade. Yes, trade. I like all
maps, but I specialize in MICHIGAN and OKLAHOMA "Official Highway" Maps
produced by each state, and MICHIGAN and OKLAHOMA gas station and oil
company maps. Do I have a favorite ? Not really. Anything with fantastic
grapics that catch my eye. The 1932 Shell maps with pictures of 1932
license plates is one of my favorites. But I am not partial to any certain
kind.
Take a look, anything in here "catch your fancy". If so, make me an offer
on a trade. Sure, I could sell them, which I have in the past, but then I'd
just blow the money on something else, never adding to my collection.
