THQ felt that it was not necessary to send us a review copy of the new WCW Nitro for the Nintendo 64. Why? Well, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out, considering the fact that we dogged Nitro on the PlayStation, and the only thing that looks different are the character palettes.
It is unfortunate for Nintendo 64 owners that may not have ever played Nitro because THQ never sent a copy for us to look at. In fact, the last time we saw the game, it was in December, as we were writing the January issue. Of course, if you saw it, you probably wouldn't want to buy it, right?
Anyhow, Nitro sports over 60 different wrestlers, each with signature moves intact. One of the best features appears (since we haven't seen it recently, remember?) to be the 30-man Battle Royale Mode. With two-man commentary, run-ins, taunts, and more, Nitro is a sight to behold. That is, it would be, if...ah, never mind.
