Mortal Kombat: Special Forces will be a PlayStation and Nintendo 64 title that should see the light of day some time in November. Playing as Jax or Sonya, the game explores this duo's beginnings, how they got involved in the Mortal Kombat tournaments, and why they hate that knife-throwing, thinks-he's-cool-'cause-he-has-a-metal-plate-in-his-head-loser, Kano.

It will be a Tomb Raider-esque game during exploration, but will switch to a fighting mode for melees. There will be different areas for the two characters, but only one ending.
