Capcom's home version of Street Fighter Alpha 3 for PlayStation has been having tremendous success in Japan since December, thanks in part to its PocketStation mode. For the sake of sales, the U.S. version will have PocketStation compatability as well, right? Well, maybe.

Capcom is waiting for Sony to deliver the necessary hardware, software, and documentation for the manufacturing run in order for SFA3 to support PocketStation play here like it does in Japan. Capcom is ready to roll right now, and if Sony doesn't make the shipment within the week, it may move ahead without the PocketStation mode.

Street Fighter Alpha 3, in one form or another, is still slated for an April release.
