THQ Inc. has announced that their agreement with Nickelodeon to publish video game titles based on the Rugrats property has been extended until December 31, 2002. These worldwide rights extend to all current and future game systems, so there is no need to worry if there's going to be a Rugrats game for your PlayStation 2.

For 1999, THQ plans include Rugrats: Scavenger Hunt (a cute board game, sound familiar?), for the Nintendo 64, The Rugrats Movie for Game Boy Color, and a sequel to Rugrats: Search for Reptar on the PlayStation.
