A representative for SNK U.S. gave the Game Informer offices a call the other day and gave us some extra info on the Neo-Geo Pocket Color system. We wanted to make as much money as possible off this volatile report, but the Russians weren't willing to meet our demands. To spite them, we present it to you instead.

The color unit will look essentially the same as the black and white Neo-Geo Pocket, the main difference being a 2.6 inch color screen. Using two AA batteries, the Neo-Geo Pocket Color will be able to play all games that the black and white can and vice versa. The only non-compatibility issue is that some color games will not link with players on a black and white.

The Neo-Geo Pocket Color will be released in Japan on March 19th, with a summer U.S. release to follow. SNK U.S. plans to make all Japanese titles for the system available here in the states.
