Koei Co. Ltd. has announced plans to market Windows-based software in China. Deciding that selling games there for a profit is better than the place running rampant with pirated software (as the other game companies should), Koei will market three titles at first. They are Romance of the Three Kingdoms VI, Legend of Heroes, and Bandit Kings of Ancient China.

It is refreshing to know that a game company out there is truly seeking to expand, while quelling piracy in a way that doesn't get governments involved. Maybe if more companies followed Koei's lead and made a point of increasing distribution in places such as China and South America, which in turn leads to lower prices for the consumers, piracy would be far less of a problem.
