Psygnosis and Activision, Inc. jointly announced today that they have entered into
an exclusive two-year distribution agreement. Under this agreement, Activision will
sell and distribute all of Psygnosis' PlayStation and PC entertainment titles in
North America. Psygnosis PlayStation titles slotted for distribution by Activision
in the first quarter of 99 include Rollcage, Pro 18: Golf, and Blast Radius.
Says Gary Johnson, managing director for Psygnosis Limited, ...with [Activision's]
strong distribution network and our strong product line-up, we can together make a
significant impact on the North American market.
Psygnosis remains a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Corp. Whether this will remain
the case in the future, however, is yet to be seen.
