When the original Harvest Moon was released in 1997 for the Super Nintendo, Natsume was worried that the U.S. audience wouldn't accept a game that revoloved around farming and simply trying to achieve a happy life style. Well get your hoes away from the goats, because the success of the title has now prompted a sequel. Natsume Inc., publisher of such favorites as Reel Fishing and Lufia II, has announced that Harvest Moon 64 for the Nintendo 64 (natch) will be released during the 3rd quarter of 1999.
Designed to reward hard work and smart decision making, Harvest Moon 64 is a unique blend of a role playing game and farming simulator. This sequel to Harvest Moon for SNES will offer all the charm of the original, plus new surprises and features. There will be more than 50 unique characters, 400 events, more products and animals, and a larger playing environment. Back-breaking labor under a hot sun doesn't come any better than this.
